Celebrating Eid Together at Early Foundation Childcare

On 10 June, children, families and educators came together for a special Eid celebration at Early Foundation Childcare Craigieburn.

The afternoon was filled with delicious food, musical chairs, laughter and warm conversations. It was wonderful to see children, parents and educators sharing the occasion and enjoying time together as one community.

Celebrating important cultural and religious occasions helps children develop:

• A sense of identity and belonging
• Respect for different cultures and traditions
• Confidence in sharing their family experiences
• Stronger connections with peers and educators
• An appreciation for diversity within the community

At Early Foundation Childcare, we believe early learning is about more than activities and routines. It is also about building relationships, celebrating the backgrounds of our families and creating an environment where every child feels recognised, respected and included.

Events such as our Eid celebration allow families to connect with one another while creating positive memories for the children.
