Our children recently enjoyed a special Pickaboo Finds His Brave book tour visit at Early Foundation Childcare Craigieburn. Through interactive storytelling, conversation and play, children explored themes of courage, kindness, confidence and emotional expression in a fun and engaging way.

Pickaboo Finds His Brave Comes to EFC Craigieburn

Early Foundation Childcare Craigieburn recently welcomed the Pickaboo Finds His Brave book tour for a special interactive reading experience with our children.

The incursion brought together children across different age groups, from our younger learners through to our older children, creating a shared experience filled with storytelling, curiosity and connection.

Through Pickaboo’s adventure, children explored ideas around courage, kindness, emotions, confidence and trying new things. The interactive nature of the session encouraged children to listen, respond, participate and connect the story with their own experiences.

Our educators joined in too, helping extend the conversations and making the experience even more meaningful for the children.

At Early Foundation Childcare, we believe learning should go beyond the everyday routine. Incursions, excursions and special community experiences give children opportunities to discover new ideas, build confidence and engage with the world around them in different ways.

The Pickaboo visit was a beautiful example of how storytelling can support early literacy, emotional development, communication and a sense of belonging — while still being fun.

We loved seeing the children receive their “I Found My Brave” certificates and celebrate their own brave moments at the end of the experience.
